Team Scout

Fairfield, NJ   ✈   Traverse City, MI

Scout is a one year old deaf and blind mini Aussie that was brought into Animal Control by a woman claiming she found him. After some investigation it was determined that Scout actually belonged to the woman and she was trying to get rid of him. After Animal Control took him into custody, Scout became very stressed and eventually needed sedation. This poor guy was totally overwhelmed by the unfamiliar surroundings and smells of many animals at the facility. CT Animal House pulled Scout into our Rescue and got him fully vetted and into a foster home awaiting a permanent family. After Scout was posted all over social media , a lovely couple from MI reached out to us. They had lost their deaf and blind Aussie and were familiar with the challenges of taking on a special needs dog like Scout. We are so grateful to the organizations and Pilots that step up to help these animals get to homes where they will be loved and cared for. They are so deserving! Thank you for your help with giving Scout a happy ending to his story.
