Sponsor Spotlight: Hartz Loving Paws – A True Partnership in Animal Rescue
One of our partners is Hartz Loving Paws, the shelter outreach program of Hartz, a leading pet care brand. Their ongoing commitment to animal welfare is evident in their support of our rescue flights.
Here’s a recent example of our partnership.
In November 2024, Hartz Loving Paws sponsored a critical mission, transporting 17 dogs and 9 cats from an overpopulated shelter in South Carolina to multiple shelters in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with the capacity to give these animals the second chance they deserve at finding loving homes.
What motivates a company like Hartz to support our work? Stacy Kisla, Senior Director of Marketing at Hartz, explains: “This flight reflects our ongoing mission to support unconditional love. It’s inspiring to see the lengths the pet care community goes to in making our fur babies feel safe and happy. Our goal is twofold: provide resources for dog and cat families in need, and leverage our social media platforms to share authentic, engaging stories about pet fostering and adoption.”
Sharing the Journey, Finding Forever Homes
Pilots To The Rescue and Hartz Loving Paws are more than just partners; we're a team dedicated to saving lives. While we transport pets to safety, our mission goes further. We use media and social media to shine a light on the tragic reality of pet overpopulation and the lack of transport options for overcrowded shelters. Thanks to our sponsors, we can utilize ground and air transport, along with volunteer pilots, to give these animals a second chance.
For every mission, our social media team documents the animals' journey, capturing heartwarming content with the ultimate goal of finding them loving homes. We often share the excitement of these transports live on platforms like Facebook (see an example from the November mission here.) This allows our followers to experience the rescue firsthand and connect with the animals.
Our public relations team works closely with partner shelters to secure local media coverage, showcasing the rescued animals and their stories. This visibility improves their chances of
adoption. For instance, a story on a Pennsylvania TV news station highlighted the Hartz-sponsored mission in November, showcasing how animals from a southern shelter found a second chance in the Lehigh Valley.
In addition to local coverage, we also promote our sponsors, in industry publications. Pet Age, a leading pet trade, featured the Hartz-sponsored mission and our partnership: Hartz Shelter Outreach Program, Pilots to the Rescue Transport Animals in Need
This multi-faceted approach ensures that the animals' stories are shared widely and that our sponsors receive well-deserved recognition for their support.
This partnership is a win-win: animals get a second chance, and Hartz Loving Paws demonstrates its commitment to animal welfare while reaching their targeted audiences of pet parents and pet industry professionals.
