On the Road Again - 23 Cats Head North to Find New Homes

December 18, 2024

It was a rainy and cold day for our ground transport team to drive 23 cats and kittens from Wise County, Virginia to Lunenberg, Massachusetts.  Many of these cats came from very sad situations, including two special sisters, Nessa and Siobhan.  At just 4 weeks old, Nessa and Siobhan were tossed from a moving car on a remote country road. Nessa was found bleeding from her head, chin, and chest, while her sister Siobhan miraculously escaped unscathed. Thanks to a kind volunteer at the Wise County Humane Society who fostered them and helped Nessa heal, these two survivors are now on their freedom ride with Pilots To The Rescue.  Together, we can turn pain into hope.
