What did you do for Valentine's Day this year? We were scheduled to help rescue 9 cats and 7 puppies pulled from a small, crowded South Carolina shelter by Palmetto Animal League that needed to go to New Fairfield/Sherman Animal Welfare Society in Connecticut. But our Southeast pilot's plane was still undergoing maintenance.
We weren't about to let pets in need down!
Southeast pilot John loaded them all up in his SUV and drove the grueling 5-hour round trip to North Carolina to meet PTTR Top Dog pilot Michael. Once everyone was transferred to the PTTR plane, Michael whisked them off to Connecticut, safe and sound.
Mission accomplished.
